Kathleen and Paul are owners and live on site. So you'll get quick response to your needs and access to your washer/dryer in the basement.

Your apartment is only 100 feet from Grand Avenue and only 100 more to beautiful Lake Merritt where the winter birds are arriving. And runners abound.

Your Saturday Farmer's Market is closeby under/around I-580. Trader Joe's is just a few more feet. Whole Foods Market is walkable from your apartment. Sprouts Farmers Market is on Broadway and Safeway is closeby on Grand Ave.

Then there's the classic Grand Lake Theater. You'll find many good restaurants on Grand and Lakeshore. Walking Grand Ave and Lakeshore at night always reminds me of the Left Bank of Paris.

This area truly is a gem and Kathleen and I are glad and happy to live here. You will be too.

Minneapolis, MN!!!

Michelle is in Chicago, Slade is traveling, and we are here with the boys (and Cody’s girlfriend, Janina.)

Times have changed - these young people have grown up and have full lives - so we are trying to shift gears and just enjoy being around them!

Graham goes into work at 5:00 pm - so he is usually not here for dinner. He doesn't get home from work until the wee hours of the morning, so he sleeps most of the mornings.

Cody and his girl friend live in the Carriage House. Janina works as an intern so she’s gone much of each day. Cody does some intern work, too - so those two are usually not around.

Seb is graduating this Friday and Zane is ending his scholastic year on Friday, too!

Cody takes Zane to school every morning, and we'll pick him up from school. So the place is full of activity.

Graham was a real doll and helped Kathleen with her new Mac … these young people know so much about computers - it’s amazing.

This evening the two of us were able to take Graham (who didn’t have to work today), Seb, Zane, Cody and Janina to one of our all time favorites - Punch Pizza. The salads there are the best we’ve ever had, and the pizzas only take 90 seconds - due to the old fashioned “oven” that keeps a temperature high enough to bake the pizzas to perfection!

Ahhh! It’s good to be visiting these kids again!

10/19 - IT IS SO much easier to blame other people, conditioning, or conditions for our own stagnant situation. But we are responsible--"response-able"--to control our lives and to powerfully influence our circumstances by working on be, on what we are. - from 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey
