Monday 7/26
A final jaunt with all the Winchester boys (save Slade) to Calhoun Lake. First of all we stopped at the Tin Fish (their favorite cafe).

After lunch we walked around the Lake. It was a hot day and Seb and Zane wore helmets since they were on roller blades. They became very hot, so Michelle allowed them to dip in the lake - Olive was interested in drinking some of the lake water and enjoyed getting her feet wet!

The city of Minneapolis has instituted something wonderful - green bikes are distributed all over the city. 30 minutes are free or a small fee for all day use of a bike. Bikes are located in many areas of the city and Kathleen promised herself to participate by renting one the next time we visit the family.

Along the Lake we had a great view of Minneapolis' skyline.

7/27 - Tuesday
All good things must come to an end and we too, had to bid farewell to the family. It's been such a great time and we both declare it's been the best yet.

We drove into Wisconsin and stopped at a cheese factory (note the advertisement on the side of one of their trucks)

We stopped at a roadside rest (sure miss the motor home for its convenience!) but we saw a little bit of history -

We arrived in Channing (and our campground where ATK has been waiting for us). We'll take a day to fix up things and then we'll head out - Ohio bound - on Wednesday.

What a great and wonderful time we had in Minnesota!

Love and Peace, Kathleen and Paul

"I HAVE FOUND that the key to the ninety-nine is the one--particularly the one that is testing the patience and the good humor of the many. It is the love and the discipline of the one student, the one child, that communicates love for the others. It's how you treat the one that reveals how you regard the ninety-nine, because everyone is ultimately a one." (9/6)
