We left our campground along the river this morning. Really, when it promised campground "on the river" Kathleen figured it was close to a river, but what a surprise! Many sites were next to the river. Our site was within view of the river, and it was a peaceful place, indeed! Spruce Park on the River

Today's ride revealed incredibly beautiful scenery. We continue to be surprised at "blue" rivers - as so many rivers and streams look brown rather than blue. These are a beautiful sight!

Kathleen's read reports of the "Ride to the Sun." Cyclists ride this scenic road up to the height of 6680 feet! They could see the glacier there. Recent sightings report it's melted. It's an awesome drive, but we decided that it wasn't for us this day.

We hope to come back this way in September and drive it. Some take the $150 (per person) famous Red Buses. But many complain the fog means they're able to see "nothing." When the weather is right, it's a sight worth the effort. So hopefully, manana! Our drive on US-2 through the southernmost section of Glacier National Park did reward us with sights like this

The road follows the river that affords one after another great sight.

But the mountains of Glacier National Park say it all - majesty!

One after another of marvelous beauty.

The rest areas in Montana leave a bit to be desired, but this one in Chester was quaint and friendly.

And this welcome flag of Chester decorated all the light poles.

We made excellent time today and finally landed in the town of Malta. There aren't too many RV parks here, but we found one Edgewater Inn and RV Park

We saw many cyclists on the road today. As we registered at the park three stopped by to get a room. Only a small room was available, so they opted to camp in their tents. They enjoyed a fine tail wind today, as did we (10 to 11 mpg at 61 mph!), and made better time than they had planned. It rained early evening, but not heavy and not long. We hope the boys continue a safe and happy journey.

Love and Peace, Kathleen and Paul

"NO DEAL BASICALLY means that if we can't find a solution that wold benefit us both, we agree to disagree agreeably--No Deal. No expectations have been created, no performance contracts established. I don't hire you or we don't take on a particular assignment together because it's obvious that our values or our goals are going in opposite directions. It is so much better to realize this up front instead of downstream when expectations have been created and both parties have been disillusioned.
When you have No Deal as an option in your mind, you feel liberated because you have no need to manipulate people, to push your own agenda, to drive for what you want. You can be open. You can really try to understand the deeper issues underlying the positions."
